When foreign nationals reside, work, or conduct business in Thailand, they may need to use official documents abroad for purposes such as business transactions, signature, power of attorney, affidavits, oath affirmation, legal translations, visa applications, education, property matters, authorize a family member to bring a minor child abroad, proof of address or domicile, private contracts and agreements, and acknowledgments or other legal proceedings. In many cases, such documents must be witnessed, certified, or notarized by a licensed lawyer acting as a Notarial Services Attorney authorized by the Lawyers Council of Thailand under the Lawyers Act B.E. 2528 to ensure their authenticity and international acceptance.
